10th February St Marys well bay
Armed with lug, rag and all the usual frozen baits Barrelreef fished the
sand spit for the 1st time.
Got there a little early before the sand spit even showed and actually
wondered if i was in the right place. With 3 1/2 hours to go before low and no sign of any sand?? But a few lads
then came down and explained that it doesn't show until around 3 hours down and before I knew it i was walking out on
the spit to fish.
Had a good bite to a lugworm bait 1st cast and after a short battle a decent
fish spat the bait about 30 foot out!!
No more bites after that despite trying all different baits and cocktails.
Even though I blanked a good day with a bit of sunshine. a mark i'll fish
again for sure!
